No Regrets: Take a Road Trip

LOVE road trips! Good music, conversation and a sense of adventure are all you need to make a normal drive memorable. A year ago I went to see Rihanna in concert in Baltimore; I was basically in and out in one night. I enjoyed the city so much in those few hours. I felt like I was missing something by not giving it more of my time. In March a friend and I decided to take a trip there for the weekend. It was so much fun! Could I fit everything I wanted to do in one weekend, No. Did I try, Yes!


I found a groupon to the Brookeshire Suites, 120 E Lombard Street, Baltimore MD 21202.

Which was a great deal they had valet parking, breakfast was included and a gym (that we didn’t wake up in time to go to) the groupon deal also included $25 toward dinner at a restaurant called Supano’s Steakhouse. It was a nice hole in the wall Italian place, food was wonderful. I would definitely go there again.


Other than dinner we spent most of the day getting lost, but still having fun. Of course a trip wouldn’t be complete without an argument or two but it made for a good story and a great adventure.There was one point that I really felt like I was in the Wire but I had a good co-pilot so I was in safe hands. Getting lost did make us miss out on some things. Such as the Baltimore harbor cruises (we were late missed the boat) and the Baltimore Zoo, yep by the time we found it the zoo was closed. Even though we missed out on those places we still found time to shop at the Harbor place and the gallery, pretend we were kids and explore the Maryland Science Center and the best part of the trip was the National Great Blacks in Wax Museum. After all of that down time was needed and that was not an issue. The hotel room was nice and a good place to relax and slow things down a bit. All in all the road trip was a success! Now that it's complete, I’m looking forward to more plus a unforgettable train journey from Washington DC to New York. Fun times still ahead.
