K-liner

I would suggest to just talk to her and tell her if she doesn’t change and stay changed then you won’t be her friend anymore. LOL!!!! I’m hilarious!
Haha…you are funny. “Act right or I will take my friendship back.”

I understand your crappy school doesn’t have good sports teams so you don’t quite understand the excitement…so I will take your sarcasm as jealousy. Its fine.
I can’t do anything but laugh at that statement. It is true I don’t know how to behave because I didn’t go to an  athletic college.
Now I’m a comedian. I just can’t win with you.

Ha! I’m a functioning alcoholic I suppose. LOL!

I’m going to start closing my imaginary door.

Uh oh! I like this you! We shall call her “Divalicious” I like it!

So Long but more to come

Life has a way of either keeping you very busy or keeping you hidden. I have been both and I would like to let readers know that for I while, I will be neither. So I will be catching you up on the things you have missed. I will also be keeping you up to date with all the random things of my laid back summer. That's right I plan to have a laid back summer, nothing too wild yet nothing too boring. This should be interesting....

Life and Time: Cooking Still To Come

I'm moving forward and trying to enjoy 2012 to it's fullest. And one thing that I enjoy a lot is cooking, it calms me. So I will spend most of January if not all of 2012 cooking some great things. So I will be adventuring off into breakfast foods and putting my crock pot to good use. So get ready, I'm going to be talking about food for a while.

Life and Times: Cooking

Fried Apple Pies

So I was on the food network again....I decided to give these a try. I love apple pie, next to lemon chestnut pie it's my absolute favorite!

2 Tablespoons butter
4 Mcintosh apples, peeled, cored, and sliced, or 1 can apple pie fillings
1/2 Cup sugar
1/2 Teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 Teaspoon lemon juice
1 (8-piece) container refrigerated flaky biscuit dough
2 Tablespoons water
Powdered sugar

Filling: Add the butter to a large saute pan and melt. Add the apples, sugar, cinnamon and lemon juice. Cook over medium heat until the apple are soft, about 15 minutes. Remove from the heat and cool. When the filling is cool, roll the biscuits out on a lightly floured surface so that each biscuit forms a 7 to 8-inch circle. Place 2 to 3 tablespoons of the filling on each biscuit circles, Brush the edges of the circle with water. Fold the circle over the filling to make a half-moon shape. Seal by pressing the edges with the tines of a fork.

Preheat deep-fryer with oil to 350 degrees F.

Carefully add the pies to the oil, 1 at a time, and fry until golden brown, turning the pies as necessary for even browning about 5 to 8 minutes. Drain on paper towels. Sprinkle with powdered sugar immediately.

Life and Times: Cooking

I'll be doing a lot of cooking until the end of the year. Trying some new things and to make some old things better.

This time around I tried making bananas pudding with almond milk. It didn't work out so well but the pudding still looks good!

Tomato, Mozzarella & Basil Crostini

This was easy to make but still a new recipe for me.

Life and Times: Cooking

Tried a new dessert: A quick raspberry tart

Frozen store bought puff pastry rolled out, place on a backing sheet. Sprinkle with 1/4 cup of sugar and bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes.

Let cool completely then spread pastry with whipped cream. Top with 2 cups of raspberries and dust with powdered sugar.
